What is The American Institute of Applied SomaTraining?

 

 

 

The American Institute of Applied SomaTraining has been established to pass on the knowledge and experience of Guy Voyer, DO. Internationally recognized as an expert in his field, Dr. Voyer also has an extensive background in sports medicine, fitness training, kinesiology, manual therapy, physical education, traumatology, massage therapy, biomechanics, pathophysiology, orthopaedics, diet and nutrition, physical therapy, and medicine.

 

Osteopathy is a science as well as an art. The practice of Osteopathy allows for the restoration of the human body through work on the various tensions that influence the body.

 

The American Institute of Applied SomaTraining is proud to host Guy Voyer, DO, as he presents his vast scientific knowledge on fitness training, overall wellness, and recuperation from the imbalances continuously created in the body from various ailments or normal physiological activity.

 

We will offer high-caliber programs in Applied SomaTraining (15 courses that are open to everyone, regardless of educational background) and Applied SomaTherapy (10 courses), as well as numerous continuing education classes for healthcare professionals who wish to continue their postgraduate education.  

 

The courses offered are supported by extensive scientific research. Courses also emphasize the art and science of fitness training, the promotion of overall wellness, and the recuperation from physical imbalances. These courses can be taken in order to learn about a particular subject or technique, to learn methods that support health and wellness, or to improve one's knowledge of fitness training. All of the Applied SomaTraining courses are open to everyone, regardless of educational background. One can also embark on a course of study that leads to particular certification and an opportunity to continue a professional course of study in the field of Osteopathy.

 

The courses will give participants a greater understanding of the relationship between anatomy and physiology, as well as how they affect function and movement.
